They have used one of our fully automated systems consisting of a laptop which is programmed to dial up a modem at a set time, in the instance, 1am every morning and read the meters.
Each tenant is charged a flat rate, but as per new legislation, they get an adjusted bill at the end of every year.
This system has successfully run for the past four years, only being interrupted when Lancaster was flooded.
